Dr. Alexander is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology with advanced training and expertise in limb salvage. He developed a dedicated Critical Limb Clinic at Providence Hospital in 2013 through the Division of Cardiology providing advanced endovascular and life salvaging treatment in those with critical limb ischemia. The clinic currently operates as the Amputation Prevention Center providing multidisciplinary care to those with lower extremity ulcerations.
Dr. Alexander also performs coronary, carotid, and structural heart interventions – particularly treatment of degenerative mitral regurgitation utilizing percutaneous mitral valve technology. Additionally, he holds active board certification in adult echocardiography, nuclear medicine, and physician vascular interpretation. He is the Associate Program director of the cardiovascular fellowship program and an active fellow of the American College of Cardiology as well as the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention.
Dr. Micheal Ayad is board certified in vascular surgery and general surgery. Dr. Ayad earned his medical degree at University of Texas School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Ayad also completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Ayad is a Fellow of American College of Surgery and a member of the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery and Society of Vascular Surgery. He has widely published peer-reviewed research on arterial and venous disease as well as authored multiple book chapters on arterial disease, vascular trauma and venous pathology.
Dr. Ayad is the current associate chief of the division of Vascular Surgery and the co-director of the Vascular Lab at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Eric J. Dippel, M.D. is a private practice-based cardiovascular and peripheral vascular interventionist in Davenport, IA.
Dr. Dippel received his undergraduate degree with departmental honors in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University. He completed his medical school and Internal Medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. He completed his general fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. An advanced fellowship in coronary and peripheral vascular intervention was completed at the Ohio Heart Health Center, and the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Dippel is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Medicine, and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, member of the American Heart Association Council of Clinical Cardiology, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Dippel’s research interests include: adjunctive pharmacology including anti-platelet and anti-thrombin therapy, vascular inflammation, endothelial function, and new devices. He has been the principle investigator in a number of clinical trials, presented abstracts and lectured at national meetings and international meetings, and published articles in journals such as Catheterization and Cardiovascular Intervention, the Journal of Invasive Cardiology, and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Erica Fidone is an interventional cardiologist and peripheral endovascular specialist, having completed a fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Craig Walker.
Dr. Fidone received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. Her doctorate was completed at Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Medicine in Temple, Texas, where she also completed her internal medicine internship and residency as well as her cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowships. She graduated with honors and was named Emergency Medicine Medical Student of the Year and Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Student of the Year. She currently resides in her hometown of Lufkin, Texas with her husband and two dogs. She will be joining Woodland Heights Medical Center this summer.
Dr. Fidone is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, adult echocardiography and interventional cardiology. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, the American College of Physicians, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Matthew Finn is a vascular medicine and interventional cardiologist from New Orleans, Louisiana and currently is based in Houma, Louisiana. Dr. Finn performs catheter-based interventions in the coronary artery, pulmonary artery, peripheral arterial, and peripheral venous vascular beds. After completing medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Matthew did his residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins where he was named chief resident. Following this he trained in cardiology, interventional cardiology, and vascular medicine at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. His research interests focus on investigating minimally invasive, catheter-based interventions, peripheral arterial disease and peripheral venous disease. Dr. Finn has also led significant research efforts in complex coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease. He has authored numerous original research publications, reviews and textbook chapters.
Paul Gagne, MD is a board-certified vascular surgeon. He attended NYU School of Medicine, and did his residency in General Surgery at NYU Medical Center. After residency, he served as a vascular surgeon in the US Navy. His vascular fellowship was at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science. Dr. Gagne was faculty of NYU School of Medicine for 8 years before he joining The Vascular Experts. He heads vascular surgery at Norwalk Hospital. He is also president of the Vascular Health Forum, a non-profit educational forum focused on vascular disease for primary care providers. He is a Distinguished Member of the Society of Vascular Surgery and a member of the American Venous Forum. Dr. Gagne’s research focuses on the deep vein system 1) following acute DVT and 2) the use of IVUS for evaluating and treating chronic iliofemoral vein outflow obstruction. He was the Global Principal Investigator of the VIDIO trial and a site Principal Investigator for VIVO, VIRTUS, ACCESS, and VERNACULAR Trials.
Dr. Osama A. Ibrahim, MD, FACC, FSCAI is an Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine Specialist. He is a regional and national advocate in the area of Peripheral Arterial Disease awareness and Limb salvage/Amputation prevention. He is Founder, President, and Managing Partner for Pinnacle Vascular Solutions (PVS). Additionally, he currently serves as Vascular Service Line Director, Director of Vascular Medicine, and Director of The Vein Clinic at Cardiology and Vascular Associates, LLC in Tullahoma, TN.
Dr Ibrahim sits on several steering and advisory boards for various healthcare entities and sits on multiple national leadership committees within several organizations including New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH), The American College of Cardiology, and The Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). Besides his efforts for amputation prevention and implementation of treatment algorithms for management and early detection of PAD, Dr Ibrahim is heavily involved with Healthcare Disparities and Inequities within the vascular space.
Ari Kramer, MD, is an assistant professor of surgery at Spartanburg Medical Center, where he has served as the principal vascular access surgeon for the establishment and in the maintenance and surveillance of dialysis access since 2005. His service provides an array of traditional and minimally invasive dialysis access options to patients with renal failure in much of Upstate, South Carolina and lower North Carolina. His professional accomplishments include teaching awards, national and international podium presentations, educational seminars, peer-reviewed journal publications, ongoing participation in quality improvement projects and emerging technology trials focused on improving care for patients with renal impairment.
Dr. Krishnan joined The Mount Sinai School of Medicine with a dual academic appointment of assistant professor of Medicine-Cardiology and Radiology. He is Director of Endovascular Services at the Mount Sinai Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. He is also a Co-Director of the annual Live Symposium of Complex Coronary & Vascular Cases, a Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Cardiovascular Institute supported program. He is also the Director of Mount Sinai’s Peripheral Interventions Live Web Cast, a monthly interactive presentation of a complex endovascular case that is broadcasted live on the web with the intention of teaching interventional cardiologist, interventional radiologist and vascular surgeons around the world on the latest data, approaches and techniques in the management of peripheral arterial disease.
Dr. Pradeep K. Nair, an interventional cardiologist, is Vice-Chairman of New Cardiovascular Horizons Conference in New Orleans, LA. He joined the Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) in 2015. A native of western PA, he graduated with University Honors from Carnegie Mellon University and earned his medical doctorate at Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Campus where he was recognized with several awards of distinction for his cardiovascular research. He went on to complete a year of an advanced endovascular interventional fellowship under the mentorship of Craig Walker at the CIS in Houma, LA.
Dr. Nair is licensed by the State Board of Medicine in Pennsylvania and Louisiana. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He currently practices in Houma, Gray and Zachary, Louisiana where he specializes in peripheral arterial/venous disease and interventions. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He serves Horizon’s International Peripheral Group, Board of OEIS, ACC Vascular Disease Section Leadership Council, and CLI Global Society Revascularization and Publication Committee. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presented and performs Live Endovascular Cases at several cardiovascular meetings. Having a keen clinical research interest of novel interventional devices and therapies, he is dedicated to supporting the advancement of our field.
Dr. Zola N’Dandu earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2001 after completing his undergraduate studies at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He then went on to complete residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, including an additional dedicated year specializing in peripheral vascular disease in 2009. For 12 years, Dr. N’Dandu served as Section Head at Ochsner Kenner, where he established a highly regarded Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia (CLTI) program. In 2023, he relocated to St. Augustine and East Palatka, Florida, where he continues his mission to advance care in cardiology and peripheral vascular disease. His work focuses on preventing unnecessary amputations, strongly emphasizing research and innovation in peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Dr. N’Dandu’s clinical and academic interests center on enhancing infrapopliteal and inframalleolar interventions, aiming to expand the boundaries of what is possible for patients with advanced PAD and limited treatment options.
Sonya S. Noor, MD, FACS is an established Vascular Surgeon in Buffalo, New York . Dr. Noor’s acclaimed career began in 1992 when she graduated from Medical College in Calcutta, India. She completed a residency at SUNY. Syracuse, followed by her fellowships at UB and an Endovascular fellowship at Arizona Heart Institute. Dr. Noor is a member of the AMA, the Western New York Vascular Society, and the EVS and SVS. Moreover, she has earned the coveted title of FACS and is a Clinical Associate professor, UB, Department of Surgery.
Dr. Noor is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is renowned in the entire country as a leading vascular surgeon doing new cutting edge procedures on abdominal aortic aneurysm endovascular and open repair, CEA and stenting and atherectomy and leg bypass and deep venous procedures. She serves as faculty on multiple national conferences and partners with industry to promote innovation and advancement of health care. Dr. Noor provides exceptional care and support to the citizens of Buffalo, she founded her practice Buffalo Endovascular & Vascular Surgical Associates in Buffalo, New York in 2007, and is the managing partner. She is also affiliated with BGMC, GVI, Degraff , Millard Fillmore Suburban and Access Care.
Dr. Noor completed the core class ( E- MBA like program) from the University of Buffalo school of management in 2017, and is enrolled in Mastery Forum for ongoing involvement with the School. Her interests in this field include practice management, productivity and efficiency for surgeons.
After having finished his training in Interventional Radiology and having worked for one year in his hometown in Genoa (Italy), in January 2016 he moved to the United Kingdom as Vascular and Interventional Radiology Consultant, to be part of a newly created and innovative Department where Vascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology have been merged under the name of West London Vascular and Interventional Centre.
After almost 9 years abroad, since 2024 he moved back to Italy, to San Giovanni di Dio Hospital (Florence) where he started a training in Vascular Surgery, still being able to continue his arterial peripheral practice.
His focus and true passion are lower limb recanalisation and diabetic foot management.
He has published and presented widely on his innovative mini-invasive techniques, being involved in collaborative research, trials and endovascular training.
He is course director of Find Your Algorithm (fya-congress.com), an innovative and interactive vascular symposium which happens annually in London since 2021.
Dr. Petruzzi is a vascular interventional radiologist, he serves as the medical director of the AMI vascular institute, a multispecialty practice consisting of 9 Interventional Radiologists and 6 Vascular Surgeons. He has dedicated his career to treating patients with complex CLTI for limb salvage. He has a breadth of experience in complex BTK CLI procedures. He participates regularly in national clinical trials and is passionate about educating other physicians on advanced limb preservation techniques.
Constantino S. Peña, MD is an interventional radiologist at the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute at Baptist Hospital in Miami Florida where he also serves as the Medical Director of Vascular Imaging. Dr. Peña earned his B.S. and M.S. from the Stanford University Department of Biology in Palo Alto, Calif., prior to earning his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 1999 as well as a Vascular and Interventional fellowship in 2000 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass. An educator, Dr. Peña is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Florida International University College of Medicine in Miami as well as a Collaborative Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. He is on the Annual Meeting Committee of the SIR. He has served as the Chair of the Cardiovascular Radiology & Intervention Council of the American Heart Association (AHA) and a board member of the IAC CT. He has served on several committees for many professional organizations, including the RADInfo Committee of the ACR and RSNA, the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) IO service line, and the Vascular and Interventional Subcommittee Scientific Program Committee (SPC) for the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). Dr. Peña is a fellow of the SIR, AHA, and SCCT.
Dr. Manolo Rubio is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and a vascular medicine and endovascular medicine specialist. He is a fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a Doctorate of the Society for Vascular Medicine. He completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Loma Linda University, California. There, he developed a passion for cardiovascular interventions, this led him to complete an advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology at The University of Tennessee, where he quickly developed a passion for vascular disease. Therefore, he completed further advanced training in Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Interventions at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He has a special interest in the endovascular (minimally invasive) treatment for critical limb ischemia (severe arterial blockages in the legs) and venous thromboembolic disease (blood clots in the legs and in the lungs). He is a fighter for limb salvage and amputation prevention. Manolo is truly committed to providing the best care to his patients and strives to treat them like his own family. He is a native Spanish-speaker.
Dr. Ashwani “Ash” Sastry is an interventional cardiologist with extensive experience in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease, critical limb ischemia, and venous disease as well as cardiovascular disease. He is triple board certified in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, and endovascular medicine. He completed his cardiology training at the Duke University Medical Center, where he won the Walter Floyd Fellowship “Best Fellow of the Year” award. He completed his training in interventional cardiology and endovascular intervention at the Center for Interventional and Vascular Therapy at Columbia University. He returned to Duke University as Assistant Professor of Medicine in Cardiology where he taught interventional cardiology trainees at the Duke University Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and single-handedly built a program for limb salvage and the treatment of critical limb ischemia at a Duke Lifepoint Hospital. He has worked extensively with the FDA office of device evaluation in providing advice and recommendations on the safety and effectiveness of novel vascular and cardiac devices. He holds multiple patents for vascular and cardiac devices.
Sameh Sayfo MD, MBA, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist specializing in endovascular revascularization of PVD, DVT/PE and CLI. He earned his interventional cardiology degree from Brown University. After that, he joined Baylor Scott & White the Heart Hospital Plano, where he is acting as the endovascular fellowship program and PERT director. He is a fellow of ACC, SCAI and active member of CLI Global Society and vice chair of the educational committee at the PERT consortium. Dr. Sayfo is actively involved in multiple clinical research initiative including the role of PI in both coronary and peripheral vascular intervention trials and published in many major journals.
Dr. Schneider received his MD from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed vascular surgery fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Schneider was the founding member and Chief of Vascular Surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii from 1994-2018. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery and past president of Western Vascular Society and Vascular and Interventional Advances (VIVA). He has served as principal investigator for many clinical trials, has been invited to numerous visiting professorships, served as faculty or course director for many specialty courses and performed vascular procedures in more than a dozen countries. He authored “Endovascular Skills,” now in its 4th edition and has co-authored three other books on various aspects of vascular disease.
Dr. Peter A. Soukas is the Director of Vascular Medicine and the Interventional Vascular Laboratories at The Miriam and Rhode Island Hospitals. He is also the Director of the Brown Vascular & Endovascular Medicine Fellowship Program, training the next generation of cardiovascular medicine specialists. His is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Brown Medical School. Dr. Soukas; clinical research interests include carotid stenting, femoropopliteal stent-grafts, intravascular lithotripsy, and the interventional treatment of both arterial and venous peripheral vascular disease. He has been a site principal investigator on over 120 clinical trials, including 24 carotid trials, and is the global PI for the RELINE MAX study.
Dr. Craig Walker received his medical degree from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed a cardiology fellowship at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans and subsequently a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Brigham Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1983, Dr. Walker returned to his native Houma to establish Cardiovascular Institute of the South with more than 90 physicians and 1080+ employees throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Illinois. On January 5, 2021, Dr. Walker opened CIS’s first Ambulatory Surgery Center in Gray, LA. Dr. Walker is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Tulane School of Medicine and LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Walker is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Cardiovascular Interventionists, the International College of Angiology, the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, the American College of Chest Physicians and the Council on Clinical Cardiology. He is the clinical editor of Vascular Disease Management and JAVELIN. He is also on the editorial board of 13 journals. Dr. Walker is the author and co-author of more than 300 published articles and more than 30 book chapters.
William Yoon, MD, PhD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, and Union Memorial Hospital, and the Director of the Complex Aortic Center at MedStar Heart and Vascular Institute.
An endovascular specialist, Dr. Yoon treats the full spectrum of vascular disease, including aortic aneurysms and dissections, carotid artery stenosis, and mesenteric and renal artery aneurysms. He delivers compassionate, personalized care through open communication and shared decision-making.
Dr. Yoon specializes in cutting-edge minimally invasive techniques, particularly for patients deemed too high-risk for traditional open surgery, allowing for faster recovery times and smaller incisions. A pioneer in complex endovascular aortic repair and an expert in Fenestrated and Branched Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (FEVAR/BEVAR), he was the first to perform advanced procedures such as double inner-branched endovascular aortic arch repair in Illinois and four-vessel fenestrated endovascular aortic repair within the University Hospitals system.
Before joining MedStar Health, Dr. Yoon was Co-Director of the Aortic Center at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University, with extensive experience using innovative devices such as the Thoracoabdominal Branch Endoprosthesis (TAMBE). He was also the first physician in Ohio to successfully deploy the Iliac Branch Endoprosthesis (IBE). His research focuses on advancing endovascular management of aortic disease through patient- and anatomy-specific solutions and addressing limitations of thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR).
He earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, followed by general surgery training at Henry Ford St. John Hospital. He completed vascular surgery fellowship training at Loyola University Medical Center, advanced endovascular aortic training at Paracelsus Medical University in Germany, and advanced aortic surgery training at Uppsala University Hospital in Sweden, where he earned his PhD.
Dr. Yoon has received numerous awards recognizing his clinical, research, and teaching excellence, including a Top Doctor Recognition in the Cleveland Magazine’s Best Doctors and a Service Values Award from NorthShore University Health System.
He is a leading member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, the European Society for Vascular Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society.
